Meetings

Cliff house is a perfect destination for large parties. It is incredibly spacious with areas large enough for meetings, and is fully equipped for all to be able to dine and socialise together. This is ideal accommodation for groups to meet, in luxurious and comfortable surroundings, and get together for business meetings or corporate events and parties in style.
For a nominal charge we offer equipment to support your meeting with Flip chart, paper, pens and easel and a projector screen available. Projectors can also be hired.

 

Team Building

At Cliff House we can organise team building events with a number of different activities on site, inside the house or in the grounds. For events/activities that require more space we use the surrounding area or nearby specialist centres. You can choose something active such as orienteering, canoeing, abseiling or quad biking - the list goes on. We have excellent contacts with local reputable companies who can provide bespoke social development programmes, corporate team building days or simply enjoying some leisure time with an activity day in The Peak District.

 

Accommodation

The accommodation has recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary and traditional Victorian style. It has one of the best locations in all of The Peak District with stunning 360 degree views of the area. It has some of the finest walking The Peaks has to offer from right outside the door, including being only a 2 minutes’ walk away from the recently opened tunnels of the Monsal Trail. This runs all the way from Bakewell to Buxton, a very popular trail for walkers and cyclists of all ages. Cliff House is also just a short walk to the pretty villages of Great Longstone, Little Longstone and the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water. Incredibly accessible to main Peak attractions, it is only a 5 minute drive to the famous market town of Bakewell, 10 minute drive to the awe inspiring Chatsworth House and Estate and 15 minute drive to the historic spa town of Buxton. Catering

At Cliff House it is possible for large groups of up to 26 people to dine together enjoying the freedom of the self-catering option. Cliff House also has an enviable location when it comes to being in walking distance from a selection of really good, heart-warmingly traditional pubs. This includes the infamous Pack Horse in Little Longstone, The White Lion in Great Longstone, and the Monsal Head Hotel with the fabulous traditional Stable Bar and fantastic outside seating area looking north westerly down into Monsal Dale.  We can also cater for your food requirements by offering home cooked food delivered to your door or by organising a caterer to come to the House. Being independently run we will endeavour to cater for any requirements.
